Everyone Can Help Someone

We Value Volunteering

One of our team members, Ruthie, recently got to volunteer and make an international impact despite the worldwide pandemic and quarantine.

Hopewell Children’s Home in Belize needed clearer expectations for staff as they ramped up hiring, so she created job descriptions and advised on some organizational changes. As she spent time on Whatsapp, an online messaging app, learning from the leaders and staff members about the challenges and joys involved in caring for these vulnerable children, she was so thankful to be able to take the time to assist.

As she wrapped up on the fifth day, she felt proud to be part of Persolvent. Knowing we not only support, but actually celebrate taking time to give generously is such a sweet thing.

Volunteer Time Off Program

According to Benefit News, organizations that offer paid days off to volunteer are more attractive to job seekers. They also state that 75% of millennials expect their employer to participate in social good, either with donations or through volunteering.

At Persolvent, one of our benefits includes a Volunteer Time Off (VTO) policy. This is where team members are eligible (and encouraged) to take up to five days off (paid) to volunteer. The purpose of this program is to enrich and inspire our team members while living out our core value of being charitable. We encourage community opportunities that are meaningful and helps those in need. We do not limit “community” to local areas, but rather encompass a global perspective.

Charitable Success

As a company, we donate 10% of our pre-tax profits to charitable organizations who are making life easier for those in need. We have provided meals and clean water. We create jobs for disabled adults. We help grant wishes for sick children. We build homes for hurricane relief. We give joy to children in poverty.

Our team members have volunteered their time with Habitat for Humanity building homes for low-income families, supported breast cancer survivors and fighters with the Susan G. Komen foundation and Tour de Pink, helped implement human resources into an international shelter for kids in Belize, along with many other experiences that support great causes near and far.
