What do you do at Persolvent? What would I come to you for?

Along with the product team, I manage the product roadmap. We use customer feedback, industry trends, and internal brainstorming and decide what the next features are going to be within ClientPay. Then we design them before passing them onto the technical team who builds them.

You could come to me if you had an idea about a new feature for ClientPay.  Or possibly if you wanted a video made - that’s my night job for ClientPay. I am currently working on a ClientPay product overview video, which will help our Sales team.

What would you tell a new team member on their first day?

I’d tell them to say “hi” to everyone because everyone is super nice and helpful. Also if you are further away from a recycling can than Marc’s desk, just put your empty LaCroix cans on his desk.

What is your biggest (work-related) challenge at the moment? How are you handling it?

Hmmm, not having an ergonomic desk chair since working from home. We will probably end up buying a couple to try and duplicate the comfort of my workspace at the office.

How have you grown at Persolvent?

Two inches.

I’ve grown in three ways: As a volleyball player on the Sport Court, as a ping pong player, and on a more serious note, I’ve grown in being able to get people excited about proposed ClientPay features while also using their feedback along the way to make the feature even better.

Basically, I’ve learned there’s benefit in not just designing a feature and running with it, but taking input from people and involving them in the process. In doing so, everyone feels ownership with the end result. It does take longer to involve more people, but it’s more rewarding.

What is a hobby that you’d love to get into?

I’d love to become good at a water sport, like water-skiing. I’ve tried it once and for the two seconds that I was on top of the water, it was super fun.

What is something you saw recently that made you smile?

Megan (my wife) and I have a friend who texted me, “Where do you live?”. I texted him our address and two minutes later he was outside our house waving at us. He had been running in the neighborhood. That was a fun moment because we just recently moved into this house, so it’s nice to know someone in the neighborhood.

What is your favorite season?

There are three really good choices (winter is excluded), so I’ll choose summer due to sunlight and being outside.

If you were stuck on an island with one food of your choice, what would it be?

Megan’s palak paneer. It’s basically spinach-ed cheese and rice. My runner-up option would have to be Megan’s tikka masala.

Are you currently binge-watching any shows?

I just binge-watched Space Force with Steve Carrell. It got dissed in the TV review world, but I really liked it. It might appeal to people who like The Office or Parks and Rec.
