We Take Fun Seriously

Are you in?

Imagine this… It’s your first day of work. One of your new coworkers invites you to a company-sponsored happy hour at 5 pm. They tell you there will be free drinks, appetizers, and some speed games of Bananagrams and giant Jenga - Are you in?  You drop by, make a ton of great connections and feel energized heading into the next day. At Persolvent, we believe everyone should feel a sense of belonging from the very beginning and that’s one of the reasons we created a Fun Committee.

Let’s talk about a Fun Committee

Does a fun committee sound like an oxymoron? Well, maybe it doesn’t sound so bad if you have a title like “Happy Hour Planner” or “Wellness Captain”. Our Fun Committee mission statement is to help be one of the best places to work by fostering relationships and bringing people together with fun activities.

These fun activities include happy hours (onsite or offsite), wellness challenges and tournaments, and mini celebrations. Food and fun are always at the forefront of our minds. On National Donut Day, you bet we go out and buy donuts for the team. And on National Hairstylist Appreciation Day, we post pictures of our best (and worst) haircuts. Any chance we have, we like to create an opportunity for the team to smile and celebrate.

Benefits of an Internal Committee

The number one benefit of having a committee, of any kind, is that it brings people together. Our Fun Committee has a strong sense of purpose. We work to ensure that everything we do has a positive impact on our culture. All our decisions are centered around serving and bringing our people together. Committees excel at bringing together different perspectives. These viewpoints can spark innovation and help avoid pitfalls that just one person couldn’t have managed.
