What do you do at Persolvent? What would I come to you for?

I am part of the technology team and work with some awesome and smart people. You would come to me if you had any IT problems. I try to improve everyone’s technology experience, especially since the majority of the team is working from home. I make sure everyone has the resources they need.

What would you tell a new team member on their first day?

Have fun and don’t be afraid to ask questions. I’m constantly asking questions. I think it’s better to get some direction than to waste time going in the wrong direction.

What is your biggest (work-related) challenge at the moment? How are you handling it?

Since I’m fairly new to the team, I’m still learning a lot about the technology and software that the company uses. I learn something new every week. Asking questions is key, and everyone is willing to take time and help you.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a food critic. I was a wrestler, so I wanted the absolute best meals when cutting weight. I would watch food channels and think about how nice it would be to travel around the world and taste-test all kinds of food.

What’s your spirit animal?

I took a test and came out a wolf. They symbolize guardianship, loyalty, spirit, and they trust their instincts. I think it definitely fits me!

If you were stuck on an island with one food of your choice, what would it be?

My mother’s green chili tamales. They’re chicken-based with chilies and peppers. I add a little sour cream and hot sauce. I can eat about seven of them and then I’m stuffed.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

I would say Munich, Germany. I went there this past December for two weeks. I loved the beverages, pretzels, brats, culture, everything. It’s a really nice city, very clean. The transportation and technology are crazy. They had a paper towel dispenser that was a continuous towel, but it went through a cleaning cycle each time it came full circle.

Do you collect anything?

I currently have a collection of my girlfriend’s books. Most of them big, thick books, so maybe more decoration than actual reading material for me. One book I did read was The Defining Decade by Meg Jay. It is about navigating your 20’s and learning from others' experiences. It was pretty good!

Are you currently binge-watching any shows?

Not at the moment, but the most recent show I binged was Ozarks on Netflix. A coworker suggested I watch it and I finished it in probably two days. I just kept telling myself “one more episode, just one more episode.”

How do you like your eggs?

I am a big fan of scrambled eggs, and they’re the easiest. Toss ‘em in and mix ‘em. I like to add spinach, green peppers, jalapenos, and tomatoes. And potatoes on the side. Sometimes hot sauce.
